The new medical centre is on Desford Lane in Ratby, which is a small village located approximately 7km west of Leicester. The new building is two storeys high, and is architecturally designed to fit in with the local village.

The building is designed to achieve BREEAM Very Good, and has scored an EPC rating of “A”. The building is electric-only (no gas), and features a number of environmentally-beneficial features, including photovoltaic panels, smart heating and cooling systems, high-efficiency glazing and insulation, wildlife habitat provision, electric vehicle charging points, and cyclist facilities.
